Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which an arthroscope is inserted through a small incision into a joint for examination or treatment of the damaged tissue. A small camera allows the surgeon to view inside the joint and take corrective measures using specialized tools. Arthroscopy can be performed on knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, and wrists as well as hips.
The video below illustrates several of the techniques used in hip arthroscopy.
